How Sessions Work

In a nutshell, I come and hang out with your family and make wall-worthy art out of your real lives.

Instead of trying to find empty space on your calendar, consider inviting me to tag along on existing plans. You can use this as an excuse to plan something special and out of the ordinary like a trip to Canada’s Wonderland or you could simply stay home, play board games and eat dinner together. Daily, simple routines like bathing and feeding your baby, grocery shopping or taking an evening stroll to the ice cream shop are all great options. You could bring me camping or camp out in your backyard. You could play basketball at the school yard or go ice skating. The sky’s the limit! The most important thing is to do what works best for your family and not be influenced by what you see other families doing in their photos. I’m always up for brainstorming ideas that suit your family.

What You Do

You stay present in the moment and try not to become preoccupied with how things look or seem. Dig in and try to simply enjoy your time together as a family. Don’t worry about your kids being on their “best behaviour”. Include me in your day like you would a friend. Trust that I’m not judging you and that no matter what happens, I can make beautiful art out of your real life.

What I Do

I pay close attention to the subtleties of personality and relationships to make pictures that are so you. I exercise my sensitivity superpower to look beyond the inconvenience of children’s emotions and needs, to find humour, humanity and beauty. I use photography as a vehicle to transport you back to this chapter of your lives and the range of feelings that accompany it.
